African AD Guidelines e-Delphi Consensus Survey

You are invited!

DEADLINE FRIDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2026

As a board- certified dermatologist practicing in an African country, you are invited to participate in a modified e-Delphi consensus process to support the development of the African Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema), led by the African Society of Dermatology and Venereology AD Guidelines Working Group.

Aim

The aim of this process is to achieve expert consensus on key diagnostic and treatment recommendations that reflect current evidence, clinical expertise, and the practical realities of atopic dermatitis care across Africa, including diverse skin phenotypes, healthcare systems, and resource settings.

The Survey

This survey includes a series of consensus statements covering diagnosis, clinical assessment, treatment principles, and a proposed diagnostic and treatment algorithm. You are asked to indicate your level of agreement with each statement using a 5-point Likert scale.

Participation is voluntary, and individual ratings will not be attributed to any participant. The survey is expected to take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Statements reaching a predefined consensus threshold will inform the final guideline recommendations.

All contributors and their affiliated countries will be duly acknowledged.

Your expertise and perspectives are invaluable in ensuring that these guidelines are clinically relevant, context-appropriate, and widely applicable across the African continent. We sincerely appreciate your contribution to this important collaborative effort.
