Bio

Lennart RÖSNER is actively involved in atopic dermatitis research for nearly 10 years. Starting as a PostDoc in the lab of Thomas Werfel in Hannover, Germany, he is now also a junior research group leader.

His research projects target deep characterization and enumeration of allergen-specific T cells and regulatory T cells in order to understand the composition of this heterogeneous cell group, and to estimate its impact on the skin.

He studied different immunological aspects of the multifaceted disease, including T cell and keratinocyte cytokine responses to allergens and their effects on the skin barrier. Further on, he concentrates on mechanisms that enable pathogens to act as trigger factors in AD, which represents his current research focus. Lennart is married and has two children.
