Welcome to the Organization of Care in Atopic Dermatitis pre-meeting in Gdansk. Through the leadership and guidance of the International Society of Atopic Dermatitis, we are experiencing a time of increased exchange among our colleagues from all over the world, and this trend will continue. The more we get familiarized with different perspectives from Africa, Latin and North America, Europe, and Asia, the more we can get new insights on the origins and management of this intriguing and fascinating disease.
Despite great advancements in the field of atopic dermatitis, we continue to be presented with many challenges: lack of accessibility to common and new medications, treatment failures and low adherence from our patients.
We hope to discuss these and other issues during this year’s pre-meeting.
With best wishes, Jean-François STALDER and Roberto TAKAOKA (Chairs)
