Worldwide Solidarity in the Care of AD Patients (OCAD 2023 meeting)

The patient-centred pre-meeting “Organization of Care in Atopic Dermatitis” is covering in accordance with the motto of the 13th Georg RAJKA symposium Worldwide Solidarity in the Care of AD Patients.

The program has been prepared jointly by Roberto TAKAOKA – who pioneered such initiatives at previous meetings, including virtual symposia held during the COVID pandemic (cf. OCAD meetings section on isad.org) – and Jean-François STALDER, who is leading the ISAD-OPENED task force, which is covering therapeutic education issues. One focus is the organization of care in sub-saharan Africa, with the participation of African colleagues and patient’s advocates. Another topic is the rather so far ignored issue of treatment failure, seen by both sides – physicians and patients -, with a particular focus on the recalcitrant teenager. The last part will discuss the latest innovations in communication between patients and doctors, mobile apps and IA, with the real-life experience of ChatGPT for AD.
