We are most saddened by the loss of our esteemed colleague Dr Robert SIDBURY in Chicago this month.
Dr SIDBURY was professor in pediatrics and dermatology at the University of Washington School of Medicine, division chief of dermatology at Seattle Children’s Hospital, a co-chair of the recent American Academy of Dermatology Atopic Dermatitis Guidelines, Councillor of the International Eczema Council, and past president of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr SIDBURY undertook his residency in Portland with Dr Jon HANIFIN and pediatric dermatology fellowship in Chicago with Dr Amy PALLER. An insightful researcher and avid advocate for best practice in the management of atopic dermatitis, Dr SIDBURY made his most profound impact through his unassuming generosity, attentive listening, warm humour, kindness, integrity, and deep humanity in relating to his patients, colleagues, and juniors.
Invited as a keynote speaker for ISAD 2025, we deeply appreciate the important contributions of Dr SIDBURY to the atopic dermatitis community and convey our sincere condolences to all those for whom he will be an enduring inspiration.
