The ISAD supports GADA’s initiative to collect global epidemiological data using appropriate instruments, which are not always readily available.
This real-world data initiative should be encouraged, particularly given the significant information gaps in countries and regions with limited medical infrastructure. If you are interested in participating, please visit https://qualtrics.kcl.ac.uk/

On behalf of the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA) project, we are reaching out to request your support in promoting an international consensus process. Our aim is to harmonise the research methodologies used in epidemiological studies assessing the disease burden of atopic dermatitis (AD, syn. atopic eczema).
Currently, there is considerable variation in how AD is assessed across studies, from diagnostic criteria to the collection of socio-demographic factors and disease severity. By harmonising these approaches, we aim to enhance the comparability and reliability of epidemiological data on AD.
While this exercise focuses on AD, we believe the outcomes will be relevant to the epidemiological study of other conditions, too. This exercise is particularly relevant given the adoption of a landmark resolution recognising skin diseases—including atopic dermatitis—as a global public health priority 78th World Health Assembly.
