We are pleased to announce that the International Society of Atopic Dermatitis (ISAD) has been awarded a Research Networking Grant from the LEO Foundation to support the international scientific networking and consolidation workshop for Treat-to-Target in Atopic Dermatitis (T2T-AD) at the Rajka Symposium 2027 in Augsburg, Germany, building on preparatory steps initiated at Rajka Melbourne 2025 and continuing at Rajka Beijing 2026.
This represents an important milestone for the international T2T-AD initiative led by ISAD in collaboration with the International Eczema Council (IEC) and the Global Atopic Dermatitis Atlas (GADA).
Atopic dermatitis has entered a new therapeutic era, but we still lack internationally harmonized, patient-centered definitions of meaningful long-term disease control. Our objective is to move beyond isolated clinical-trial thresholds toward a multidimensional framework incorporating disease activity, stability and flares, itch and sleep, function, treatment burden, patient priorities, and global feasibility.
The Augsburg workshop will bring together international experts and younger investigators to review the preparatory work, address areas of agreement and remaining uncertainty, refine the emerging T2T-AD framework, and define priorities for implementation, dissemination and future validation.
